So, I was told by someone, who heard from someone who knows someone that it's a good idea to write a lot of short plays and submit them anywhere and everywhere. You know, to get your name out there. Smart thought. So, because of that smart, smart though, I thought "Hey, let's make a short play." The result was a strange play that originally started as one thing but quickly became something else.
What started out as a goofy play about a woman who wanted her children to attend a prestigious school for the magical arts became a mildly Absurd play about another woman who realizes she's a character in a play and decides she's had enough. Either way, the play breaks all sorts of fourth walls and is generally a fun play that doesn't take itself too seriously. And, let's be honest, no one likes a play that takes itself too seriously. It's called a "Play," not a "Burden," after all.
